Damien Hirst

An English artist and the most prominent of the YBA group. He dominated the art scene in Britain during the 1990s and is internationally renowned. Hirst became the most expensive living artist first with the sale of a medicine chest, Lullaby Spring, for £9.65 million at Sotheby's in London. Then 2 months later, Hirst out did this previous sale with For The Love of God which sold for £50 million.
